Those who consider themselves "gamers" will know what it's like to play through substantial lag. This analogy translates to life and work as well. Here at Bay Area Installations, we are experts at dealing with situations where there is more than an acceptable amount of "lag" (for one example - see the story of the founding of our partner - Cubiclesales.com).
We often make a point of distinguishing ourselves from other "brand x" companies by our experience and expertise. We're not just another company - we're the original Bay Area office furniture service company. Some have grown bigger, some have come and gone - we're the ones who have been there through thick and thin. We have the stories, the perspective and the experience to prove it.
Lag can come in many forms. We show up to knock down an office and it's full of the person's papers, desk supplies and effects. Of course they're out to lunch so we have an hour to wait before we can get started. Or a key management person is running late and we're standing outside a locked building. Or a freight elevator goes down, or someone has a last minute change of plans...the list goes on and on. We've seen just about everything, and we adhere to a simple rule when we're faced with lag:
- keep it cool -
That's right - it's simple. We keep cool and help the customer through the difficulty until the project is complete and everyone is happy. In our years in the field we've learned more than our fair share about patience and about the importance of, as the poet said, keeping your head when all about you are losing theirs.
Gamers employ the same thing. The game has a pace and when there's lag they need to adjust to keep with that pace. They still make all their movements - they still play the game - they just look at it through a different lens and make the necessary changes to keep the game running smoothly. The same goes with work - furniture installation or not - you'll come across lag sooner or later. Fortunately at Bay Area Installations we have the experience to navigate it with aplomb.
