Specialization is one of the driving engines of capitalism. Yet here at Bay Area Installations, while we do specialize in the installation services we provide, we also maintain a nostalgic nod towards the generalist in all of us.

Call it what you will, we pride ourselves in having answers for whatever questions our customers come up with. Our favorite answer is "yes, we do that". This has led to many a satisfied customer as well as innovations in our own business models.

I'll share one story which illustrates this principle: In the early 90s we were, like many, experiencing the burden of the recessed economy. The phones weren't ringing and we knew why - no one was buying new office furniture for installation. Our executive staff were at a networking event with local businesses, beating the bushes for work around Christmas time. One of our contacts started a conversation with us, and told us that his manager wanted to outfit their cubicles with laminated sided partitions, instead of traditional fabric partitions. The process would be to strip down the fabric, and somehow apply the laminate while at the same time not interfering with the rail assembly. We had never done this before.

Of course - our executives saw an opportunity and answered "Yes, we do that". Thus our remanufacturing and recycling business was born, which eventually evolved into our partner cubiclesales.com.

So - perhaps specialization and entrepreneurial spirit go hand in hand. We try to specialize as much as possible, but also say "yes, we do that" when the spirits of innovation and enterprise come calling.

When you want someone who says "yes, we do that", contact Bay Area Installations.
