...crawling back - is how the saying goes. Here at Bay Area Installations Inc., we have substantial experience knowing that this is true. So when we get some bad news from a customer we pause, take a deep breath, and remember the truth of that saying.

You may recall some of our older posts about how BAI is called upon to "bail out" unfortunate customers who made the dubious choice to work with a brand x installation company, instead of partnering with the professionals at BAI. Wouldn't you know it, humanity is a stubborn species. So we shouldn't have been surprised when one of our tried and true repeat customers made the same mistake just yesterday.

But that's just what happened. We were asked to give a quote on an upcoming cubicle move that would have been right up our alley. We had more experience, more resources, more support staff - more everything than our brand x competitor. (Speaking of more resources, check out our partners at Cubiclesales.com). We should have known something was up when we were asked to even provide a bid, as we have a soild and well established relationship with the customer in question. Nonetheless, we got a call saying that we were around 20% more expensive than the other guys, and that we wouldn't be getting the work. Okay, we thought, it's more important for our men to get good work than for the company to make money on every job - so we agreed to meet or beat the brand x price.

Then we were informed of the real score. The customer felt "bad" that work hadn't been given to the brand x people, so the customer decided to go with them regardless. The customer even admitted the belief that BAI would do a superior job at the move! There's loyalty for ya!

It shouldn't surprise you that this same customer was the one based upon whom this blog post was written - and the brand x company was the same one that we bailed out back then!

So - it will still be a Merry Christmas for all - but we are all harboring a bit of secret anticipation for when we're called to clean up the brand x mess that was made. Becuase here at Bay Area Installations, we're confident in our reputation and ability. We know that when customers make mistakes by going with brand x, well, they always come crawling back!
